Energy and angular distributions in dissociative photodetachment of O4
نویسندگان
چکیده
An anisotropic product angular distribution has been observed in the dissociative photodetachment of O4 2 at 523 nm. Energy and angular distributions of coincident O2 products from the process O4 1hn→O21O21e were measured using translational energy spectroscopy in a fast ion beam. The angular distribution peaks perpendicular to the electric vector of the laser beam. © 1995 American Institute of Physics.

Dissociative photodetachment ~DPD! of the molecular anion HOCO is used to probe the potential energy surface for the OH1CO→H1CO2 reaction. The HOCO anion, formed by electron impact on an expansion of CH41N2O1CO, is characterized for the first time in these experiments by photoelectron spectroscopy and photoelectron angular distribution measurements. Photodetachment of HOCO is found to produce H...
متن کاملDissociative photodetachment studies of I2-.Ar: coincident imaging of two- and three-body product channels.
Van der Waals clusters serve as prototypical systems for studying processes of energy transfer. The I2.Ar system has attracted particular interest due to the wide array of decay processes occurring in competition with one another. Here, we present systematic dissociative photodetachment (DPD) studies of the I2- and I2-.Ar anions in the region 4.24-4.78 eV. The resulting neutral fragments are de...
متن کاملTransition state dynamics of the OH ¿ OH \ O ¿ H 2 O reaction studied by dissociative photodetachment of H
Photoelectron-photofragment coincidence ~PPC! spectroscopy has been used to study the dissociative photodetachment of H2O2 2 and D2O2 . The observed partitioning of photoelectron and photofragment translational energies provides information on the dynamics in the transition state region of the reaction between two hydroxyl radicals: OH1OH→O(P)1H2O. The data reveal vibrationally resolved product...
متن کاملEvaluation of the electron energy fluence and angular distributions from a clinical accelerator. A BEAMnrc Monte Carlo study
Background: Understanding of the incident electron energy and angular distributions from clinical electron accelerators (linacs) is important for dosimetry and treatment planning. The most important goals of this study were to evaluate the energy fluence and angular distributions of electron beams from a Neptun 10PC linac using the Monte Carlo (MC) code. Materials and Methods: The lina...
